Erin Johnson

Erin completed her Master’s in Marine Biology at Texas A&M University- Galveston with Dr. Dave Wells where she studied environmental effects on demersal species in the northwestern Gulf of Mexico. She is currently a Ph.D. student at Florida International University examining how legacy effects of past disturbances shape the response of seagrass meadows to future environmental stressors. Her research interests include coastal ecosystems ecology. Erin is also interested in being a mentor to young Bahamian students who aspire to be marine biologists and provide positive research experiences to young Bahamian scientists to ensure early education of critical marine environments.
