Hello, and welcome to the Coastal Marine Ecosystem Experience! This site serves as a free resource for anyone looking to better understand our coastal oceans and the services they provide us, identify the human activities that threaten these systems, and explore how we can better protect these ecosystems to ensure they provide services well into the future.
 
In partnership with Bentley University, Florida International University and Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium, we have developed groundbreaking, immersive 360° virtual reality (VR) experiences designed to immerse learners in field experiences. While these videos are accessible to learners of any age, they are targeted towards those in high school or college (designed for STEAM and non-STEAM majors alike). 
 
Through these videos, learners will be able to explore sub-tropical seagrasses, mangrove, and hard-bottom ecosystems while learning about why these ecosystems are crucial for the health of our planet, and for the services they provide to our coastal communities. These videos are designed to be used either with VR headsets or navigating using your mouse on your computer.
